LG intends to invest 2 trillion Korean Won to research electric vehicle battery

South Korea’s second-largest commercial giant LG Group said on September 25, as of 2015, the company plans to invest 800 trillion won (6.83 billion U.S. dollars) to develop green businesses, such as the electric car parts, light-emitting diodes and sewage treatment.

LG will invest in 2013 two trillion won R & D and production of electric vehicle batteries, light emitting diode 2014 and to the sewage treatment business investment one trillion won, the polysilicon business investment 4,900 billion won. In addition, LG intends to invest $ 4,000 in 2015, one hundred million won engage in the production of solar batteries.

LG Group said that the investment objective is to have 10 trillion won in revenue, create 10,000 jobs.
